Kathy Chan
Site Director/Teacher
My name is Kathy Chan and I hold the dual role of Site Supervisor and Teacher. I have been in education for more than 20 years. I have a bachelor’s degree from University of LaVerne and a teaching credential from the University of Redlands. I began teaching in California, first in a public elementary school, then I became a Site supervisor-Teacher at Head Start. I moved to New York and have been at Head Start in Ellenville for eleven years. I love teaching and find it immensely rewarding. Being able to instill a love of learning in children and witnessing their growth and development as they discover/ experience so many things for the first time is extremely fulfilling. When I’m not working, I enjoy family time; I have a son and daughter, gardening, boating, swimming and hiking with my dog.

Hello my name is Jaime. I’ve been working with children since 2001 through a variety of roles and organizations. I have two children, one all grown up, and the other almost there, and now I have a grandson. I am currently completing my child development credential. My hobbies are hiking, yoga, binge watching Netflix, and meditation.
Maribel Ferraro
Family Worker
My name is Maribel Ferraro. I have worked for Ellenville Head Start for 36 years. I have 4 children and 3 of them attended Head Start. Since my time here, I have been a cook, Assistant Teacher, Behavioral Assistant 1 on 1 and a Family Worker. I love what I do and my goal is to retire in a few years.

My name is Marina I am teacher Aide I work in the Ellenville Head Start for 4 yeas, I work with the child because I love the children, I love to play together, I love learning and communicating with the children and the families . I obtained my child development credential last year.
My favorite hobby is enjoying time with my family being able to eat together, watch a movie and watch my children play soccer.
Rob Owsinski
Teacher Aide
My name is Rob. I started working in Head Start after I finished High School in 2008. I started as a bus monitor, then became a substitute and worked my way up to a Teacher Aide. In the Summer of 2018, I got my Child Development Credential (CDA). I’ve been working with children for more than 7 years.
In my spare time I like to work on my cars. When I have free time, I like to go fishing and hang out with my family. I’ve got two cats that are my little Ying and Yang.
The one thing that I love about working with children is knowing when they go home and talk about what they did with their teachers and when parents come in saying my kid talks about you at home. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment and pride in your job.
