My name is Micaela Dosiak, and I am the Center Director and Lead Teacher in the Plattekill preschool Head Start Center. I began my career with Head Start in 2019 as a Lead Teacher in the Rondout Center, Kingston. In that position, I provided preschool aged children with the educational building blocks that they will need for their seamless transition to Kindergarten. Moving to the Plattekill Center in February of 2023, I assumed the dual role of Lead Teacher/Center Director. I believe that it is important to work collaboratively with both the children and their families to develop a learning strategy best suited to them. By creating a classroom environment that allows for individuality but also stresses inclusion, I strive to make your child’s educational experience the very best that it can be! I support the Head Start program by employing the High Scope Curriculum; which stresses active exploration and hands-on experiences to learning.

My interest in early childhood education started at a young age; with activities that included coaching AYSO soccer, babysitting, and obtaining my Associates and Bachelors Degrees in this field. My out of classroom interests include crafting, attending live music concerts, and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to working with your child to help them attain their educational goals. I may be reached at mdosiak@uccac.com or by telephone (845) 338-8750, ext. 262
